Floptacular massive ears!!
I tried to walk all three dogs simultaneously this morning. It actually went pretty well. Jig was a little play bitey at Widget a couple times but otherwise kept up with everyone. Hopefully I’ll be able to get some clearer photos of the other two dogs soon. With Jigs’ arrival they have been bouncing off the walls and all I get are blurry blobs. Strangely, the puppy is the easiest one to take a picture of! :p
They are doing their best Reservoir Dogs impression while patiently waiting outside the kitchen for breakfast. Jig is already picking up the no kitchen rule pretty fast! Little smarty :)
EDIT: This is way grainier than anticipated! I guess even camera phones are tired at 5 in the morning! x)
Those are some serious stompers there, Jig!
Everyone is getting along great. Lots of play and only a little bit of the grumps. I think once we take the tape off his ears tonight he’ll have almost no grumps. We also haven’t had a single accident so far which is pretty nice. I am appreciative that he figured out the litter box so quickly.
Gizmo has reached the point where he no longer thinks Jig is visiting and instead thinks he is being replaced by a new puppy. His coping mechanism for that seems to be snuggling on top of me rather than snuggling with me. We learned after Widget that no matter how good you are at supporting Gizmo he tends to be a melodramatic drama queen when introduced to any major change :)

So I don’t think either pup is going to make it to midnight :) Gizmo had a busy day of running around and playing and Widget was forced to endure her biggest (and likely only) fear…The Pet Store.
All the cool kids are making a 2012 summary blog and I figured why not. Live dangerously! I couldn’t get the read more option to work right, so WOO HOO LONG POST!
The awesome:
The not so awesome:
2012 was a ridiculous roller coaster for me and I am happy to be here, healthy, and surrounded by the people (and puppers!) that matter most to me. I’m planning to have an amazing 2013 and refuse to accept anything less. When we get our house, maybe we’ll even celebrate by adding a much wanted 3rd addition to our family. ;) I saw this little one below online and while she is terribly mis-marked OMG SHE IS SO ADOOOOOORABLE! I think the badass stripes might make me love her more.

4 years feels like it was just yesterday, little man. You were so tiny and trundly. Your little stumps were so short that your round little belly barely cleared the floor. You were also such an independent little heart-breaker that never wanted hugs, ruining my dreams of puppy snuggles. It’s hard to believe such a behemoth of a corgi could have had such tiny beginnings. :) <3
I apologize for the graininess of the first photos, they were taken on cell phones 4 years ago. Not that the clarity on the pictures I take now is stellar or anything, they are still limited by what a cell phone can produce. :p Maybe some day a nice camera will be in our future but I don’t foresee one any time soon.
She NEEDED to be RIGHT THERE. She tunnelled under pillows and squeezed her way between the couch and my leg.
